Umm, does this look right? No? Really? Because to the people who actually own this 4 year old, he always looks like this in the winter, but is fine in summer. And this is not a problem. Mind you, I put down the kids' pony less than a week ago. I WAS NOT really looking for a new pony. This guy was local, and I was in a "rather look and say no" mode. I'd hate to learn from someone else that he was just the "it" pony.

Yeah, so LT and I head out, stop by the ranch to take my mom along, and find this. The second I saw him, all I thought was, I HAVE to get him out of here. Nothing else. Oh, well, I did check for founder problems (don't want to do that again...) but his feet, ironically, look great.

I guess I don't really have to do much explaining... the pictures speak for themselves. And mind you, it's been about negative COLD degrees for about a week, at least.

Anyhoo, back to the ranch to think... It was 11:30. Needed to be headed to the Big City by 2:00. LT needs a 2 hour nap. BB is still in the trailer (shit, I wasn't going to be using it, no biggie...). I need to get starving pony, I have NO idea of his temperment, I have no trailer.... SoI called a good buddy. 45 minutes later, we were headed back to get the pony. Oooops, did I forget to mention that the road is shitty, and I'm glad I'm not driving, because, even though I'm pretty handy with a trailer, I'm not sure I could have pulled it off to get in and out. Lie... I could have got in. It was the getting out part that I wasn't sure about.

Shit, sorry guys, long story short. PRINCE, the pony, is here with me. He has about 2 seconds to show me he's worthy of my time. I WAS NOT planning on bringing a pony, or any other equine, home today. Either he makes it here, or I call the Humane Society. Tomorrow's a wash, we're headed out to the ranch to do Christmas with the fam, so he'll have to hang out. But he'd better prove himself worthy of my kids in ZERO time after that, or I'll make the call to AC.
